Description
Because of an Improv class I'm in I have begun to get interested in Dungeons and Dragons (Improv/DnD very closely related).
I've starting to learn a lot about the game and the world building required.
So I took crack at designing a fantasy map in which a game could be played. (No, not a dungeon map, I'll try one of those later.)
I studied a bunch of maps and Youtube videos created by Nate of WASD20. Most of his maps are hand drawn.
I wanted to see what I could create in Photoshop. Using a few filters I was able to create the basic forms of the islands and continents of my Domhan world. Then using a digital brush I drew in the details and added the names of locals based on Irish words. (This is only portion of the full world map I created, but with the most detail.)
Have learned a lot in this experiment and will be doing more. Would love to hear your thoughts.
