Description
The waves of grief come crashing down, sometimes without any warning, and the heart is unable to do anything but let the pain flow through it.

When I asked people what grief meant to them, the words "waves" and "emptiness" were the two most common responses. So that was my inspiration for this piece, and my hope is that it offers a visual that others can connect to that perhaps words could not describe adequately.
