If i'm not mistaken, they are a chibi-fied Edward and Alphonse Elric from the anime Full Metal Alchemist. ^_^

Heh...I think everything's getting confused.

This actual pic is based off of the FMA movie (which comes after the end of the FMA anime...which is alot different story-wise and such to the manga). In the movie, Al grows his hair long and gets bangs like his big brother. He doesn't in the manga.

The white highlights were just done with a Gel Pen.

As for the other ones - I always start with the lightest colour marker first, and fill the WHOLE section in that colour, then work darker as I go along - so the shadows are done with a slightly darker colour each time.

Ahhhh, I see! It would be hard to color around a spot though... hmmm, I'll try to use that technique. *Sucks at using markers*

URK! Well...It's kinda hard to say...since my marker collection is a build-up of about...300-400+ markers. X___x of all the 4 different brands.

BUT...if you're not sure, the best thing would be to go for one of the Tria made-up packs. Remember that black case I had at Armageddon? Well...That was the 'Shojo Marker set' (ignore the fact that it's got a Japanese title to it) - that was more of the girly one...with pinks and such, but it had a good range of colours, PLUS skin tones (I used two of them for the ones in this pic)

For YOU and your art...maybe I could suggest the 'Shonen marker set' - skin tones as well, but the colours are more...to the less-girly side. There's also one that works with illustration and such...I think one pack had a picture of a car on it (winkwink)

If that's too expensive, then go for buying less seperatly on the shelf (that way you get to PICK your colours) - just make sure you pick up two shades for the skin tones...because one only gives it a flat, 2D look.

Thanks for all that Yeah I'd probably need a less 'girly' palette considering most of my stuff has fairly dark tones, not one ounce of pink or purple.

I'm getting a good hundy worth of vouchers but will probably pump that up some myself...I could get a pretty decent set plus extras out of that I imagine. Definitely need at least two skin tones indeed...since I'm hardcore with my shading XD

You can also refill them, right? I'd hope you could since they're not cheap >___>;;

Tria you can (apparently) refill, though I'm a lazy-@ss and just buy new ones (the tips are sharper when they're new anyways) XP

Lol. True...I tend to bugger felt-tipped anything after a while because I'm a bit heavy-fisted. Speaking of which, the pens I'm using are starting to let me down, now that you'd mentioned it at Armageddon >___>; They're too thick for how hard I press...I should try those MItsubishi pens and see if they shit themselves in the same way... *scratches chin*
