First of two very cool images Eno sent to me to work with. Originally I was going to post them both together... but I've decided to post them separately, since I think they have more impact that way. Look out for the second one because I think it's insanely cool and she's really challenging me with some angles! XD
But until then the first is this really sweet piece of little Ratchet and Alister (yes, hur! Again, not canon but it could have been had Azimuth been aware Ratchet was alive).
Originally I wanted to try out some thicker shading on Ratchet's limbs which were further forward, but I lost that effect when I had to give him a thicker outline to work better with such a busy environment (and the fact that he's so golden himself). Will try it out again with the follow-up image.
Follow up image:
I'm sure someone will eventually point out the feet aren't Lombaxy-enough too. :/
I couldn't resist sticking them on Torren IV, though. I guess I'm kind of fond of that very dead-looking planet. Perfect place for a couple of Lombax outcasts, anyway.

But you're still only going on your own theory, not anything that has been confirmed by Insomniac. There is no official confirmation that proves 3 years passing by here is the same in their universe (also take note that it's hard to tell if we should consider the PSP titles as officially canon since they are developed outside the creator's studio by a different company). Please cite the references to ages if they are official because so far all I have is your word of mouth and really, it's the interbutts, can't trust the word of mouth here.
Ratchet was also officially 18 in Deadlock, not 19. I'm not sure where you got that age from. Deadlock/Gladiator takes place in the same time (our years) as Jak X - Ratchet even shares his Deadlock/Gladiator look and outfit in Jak X.

For the reason I thought he was 19 since basically most of the other games are spread by the minimum of a year, a major excuse being the Future series, which is based several years after, and the PSP games are honestly just sub-plot, since I'm pretty sure they're basing it off the running gag show that started out as of Up Your Arsenal, probably for all we know just being watched on television by Clank and Ratchet, and it can be more believable regardless of it being the interwebz, there's usually official info, mostly from interviews, I've met a few Insomniac members from my last E3 escapades this year, and I asked a few questions, I actually did milk some official info out of them, such as hinting that Jak and Ratchet lived in the same galaxy for some time, which I think may lead to a spin-off crossover. But my only real back-up other than Insomniac members hinting it was how in Jak X Ratchet was actually there, which could be a little between events in Deadlocked where he visited Jak's planet for some sort of challenge in DreadZone but they didn't show it in-game or in-scene. But if you think that's not true, then power to you, it's just theory and guessing, I'm merely going by what I've heard, what I've been told by Insomniac, and what I see in game. But again, it's as you said, it's just theory, not fact. If we want to know what happens, we just gotta wait for Ratchet and Clank Future: Macguffin of Macguffins.

I recognized the planet, but i just started playing the games and getting addicted to them cuz of you hahahah
I always like to see the backgrounds you do.
And I did see the thicker line weight on Ratchet. good idea. I think it works just fine especially on the foot and hand.
and do you still your A4 card paper? or do you use bristol as well sometimes? just would like to know :3

Bristol isn't avaliable down here (at least, not in any of the local stores I've checked) so I still use A4, high GSM card paper. :3

dude! well done, I like the fact that the characters are the only things that are inked, that gives them more of a scope and focus. plus! the inking is fabolous! I LOVE the thinker lines for Ratchet and the more subdued lines for Ali. very nicely done. Damn did you look like yopu had fun doing that. Did you even stop to sleep?
Can't wait to see the next one! it's going to be mental!

I'm so glad you like it. :3 I had an AMAZING time doing this, because I worked on it while Abby played ToD so it was just one big Ratchet-themed night. XD
Next one will be INSANE! Already looking through my cutscenes for good refs of the location.

What an awesome picture! Not only the subjects and environment, but the COLORS. They're so... I dunno. Intense and true. I just get the feeling of the game when looking at them. Really really lovely work!
