Had to keep it pretty rough considering the time budget I had, but enough to convey the look and visual language of the player settlements, looking just alien enough but not too hostile, the settlement ended up being near a massive waterfall area where I imagine the air is less toxic than the rest of the world and oxygen content is higher.

I was inspired from Ghibli's Nausicaa movie to have this theme of the players early on exploiting the world's resources in a sort of conquering manner, but later they have to learn to be more sustainable in their has building, maybe due to their activities causing the environment to react, and becoming more hostile to them very quickly, unlike the ecosystem on earth.
