"Please stop praying for my grandma!! You are making her too strong. She broke out of the hospital and now the cops can’t get her. She’s too powerful
Arcee, like Ratchet, is very old and dates back to long before the war. Originally a caretaker, she looked after newly-harvested sparklings as they grew into proper bots. Hot Rod was one of the last sparklings she cared for, and she was drafted into intel not long after he became old enough to leave. The two remained in contact through the war, though she never specified what she did, partially because she didn’t want to distract him from his early training and partially because, to an extent, she still felt inclined to coddle him somewhat.
As an Intel agent, she was equipped with camouflage and refitted with her main weapon, the massive executioner blade she carries. She was mainly an assassin, sneaking close to important enemies and taking them out of the picture. She can switch to a stronger form for the finishing blow, locking herself into the ground and unfolding her sword to take out even the largest enemies. Despite her job, she remained a very sweet and nurturing bot, and is a comforting presence to her allies.
When Hot Rod was placed into a command position she joined his team to help look after her former charge. Armed with energon candies and a warm smile, she’s been a stabilizing presence on their team, and a source of encouragement for their leader (in spite of her tendency to baby him a bit, of course.) And if they’re ever approached by an overwhelming threat, she’s ready to take care of it. So far, this has only happened once- and, if nothing else, they’ve all somehow survived the confrontation with Megatron."
