Description
A recent commission featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.Clearly very much inspired off of Mr.Dookie's great Turtle designs, though I think his are much more creative.
This picture could also very well be subtitled "Dancing in Poo-Water"

The poo-water was definitely a major part of the picture.
I couldn't help but think even as a kid that April must have quite the tolerance for smells in order to be friends with these guys.
If I were to ever draw a TMNT comic I would insist on a scene with the Turtles sneaking up on the Foot ninjas and one of the ninjas sniffing and checking to see if he stepped in something.

Ha! That would be a brilliant addition. I remember playing the old side-scroller Ninja Turtles game when I was a kid, and there was the level where you're in the sewers and have the option of walking in the sewage or on the dry walkway. I always went on the walkway cause it seemed gross to be in the sewage.

Great motion and expressions! I like the variations on the masks, even if Don and Leo have the same kind (not many different kinds of masks you can do I suppose.) Love the Turtles! Mikey rules!

I decided to go with only a slight difference in Leo and Don's mask's.
Don is wearing what I like to think is the "traditional style" of mask we're used to seeing them in while Leo's mask trails much longer in the back and covers his nose... beak... whatever ..a little more.

This is so awesome. It reminds me of the old comic books from the 70's. That classic feel made it cool.

A little touch of the classic comic style from the 70's?... cause the Turtles only date back to 1984.
everybody remembers some incarnation from the cartoons or the movie but I do try to give them a touch of the comics, they always looked so cool and moody in the comics.

I meant the color method looked similar to the 70's-80's era. Seeing as it were colored by hand, marker or brush; not photoshop.
And seeing you put the time and effort to make it as great as it is. And it is great!

Yeah, I've always liked painting and seeing actual physical hand colored pieces by other artist...
Well, come to think of it, being a fan of so many painters and traditional artist who dabbled in comic work and things along those lines is really what made me want to try it out.

It's more than a little surprising that they don't seem to be wide spread outside of America just yet, hopefully they'll spread out a little more in the near future.
