If I would buy 3.2mm leather, could I use rivets with a 7mm stem (and 6mm cap)?
And will it still be able to rotate at the rivet points?
Like when I move my arm up, the spaulder folds together and unfolds when I lower my arm...
I made a test version in cardboard and used paper rivet things, and the folding/unfolding goes perfectly.
Now I want to make sure, when ordering my stuff online, I buy the right things.

you should have no problem having it rotate at the rivet points. ok, first, are you using any stamps? if so that will take down the oz a little. so if you have 3.2 on 3.2=6.4 w/ a 7mm rivet, that's good because you want a little extra stem out when you rivet.
Are you ordering from Tandy Leather Factory? But I say you seem to have everything specked out right.

Thx for the reply.
I was planning on ordering from Le Prevo.
(someone on DA told me about them)
I took a look at the Tandy Leather website, and the prices seem to be double or more than Le Prevo's
So I think I'll stick with them if they can confirm their prices.

It looks like Le Prevo might be better for you since Tandy is in the US are Le Prevo is in your country, lol.

A question about the black dye.
Is it regular dye like the brown one, or some special edge finish?
Can you use a brush to paint the black border?

The brown dye is actually and antique stain, the black dye is just regular dye, and yes I usually use a paintbrush to apply it on the edges.

If the dye is non-alcohol based (called "institutional leather dye"), do you know how I can clean the brush afterwards?

either soak it in water, or toss it. I go through paint brushes all the time, but if I do it like painting style and let it sit in a jar of water right after I can usually dry it off and use it again.
