Gail may have been the strongest soldier in the Academy as well as the whole damn military, but she took a few losses to Ria in the story. Ria's first big win was breaking the MC of his blind simping for Gail, making him realize your dream girl is no match for the girl that actually loves you back. There was a scene I had in mind where Ria's tribal family came to forcibly haul her back and push her into a political marriage. The MC obviously comes to save the day, but the plot twist was that every fight the MC had up to this point, he was absolutely destroyed. When Ria asked him how he suddenly became that unstoppable badass overnight, he explained to her his abysmal record of 0-172 was because all 172 of those fights were against Gail, the strongest soldier they had. He was possibly the second strongest soldier and nobody knew it because the only one he was ever measured against was Gail. Also, I threw in a bit where Ria clearly pretends she twisted her ankle just so the MC would princess carry her, because I wanted to keep her a little silly. It was a fun thought, but Titi-Artwork brought everyone to life more than I ever could.
