AU Idea: Brambleclaw is the unofficial adoptive son of the Fire family who doesn't really clue in until his "little sisters" are born lolAlso I really wish I had the ability to really make comics instead of single pictures but it seems my fate is to cut and paste forevermore haha.

Totally. Between all the stupid drama and some plot holes and a bit of sloppy writing I ended up getting turned off from the series and just stopped reading. The thing that actually got me the most upset was unnecessarily killing off a cat to reintroduce death-berries, when if you read the books one after another, death berries were already talked about in a previous book. They were already introduced when (if I remember correctly) Jayfeather was still training with Leafpool and asked about death-berries being stocked because Shadowclan kept them as a last resort if the medicine cats couldn't save a life. Give a quick and less painful death. Then that was completely forgotten about when the adder scene came in. I mean that would be a much more interesting story is delving into the differences of clan beliefs with how death-berries were kept in Shadowclan but abhorred by at least Thunderclan. After the first books, which still hold up, the rest of the series really shows that there are multiple writers who are clearly not communicating nor having a strict story/universe bible for everyone to pull from like other franchises do. It's not that these writers are bad writers, actually they're very talented, but it's clear to see that each of them has a slightly different vision for the characters and stories and it ends up begin a muddled mess that has inconsistencies and sometimes really uncomfortable or even major flaws in the various stories (Like Spottedleaf's Heart). It really is a shame because the first books were so good, I've read them through a couple times over the years, but after that the structure of the series really needed to be put in place and have all the Erins on the same page before going further.
Anyway I love your art, I'm still struggling with drawing cats myself and designing my own characters. You have a super cute and appealing style that holds some semi-realism. :3

Hmm, well I suppose they are in this universe at least, though not in the mother-son kinda way, but more like... Sandstorm's never had a problem with Brambleclaw and like, she knew from the start that the Firestar "mate package" came with much more than just a mate (his "lil sister" figure Cinderpelt, and nephew Cloudtail) so to her, that Brambleclaw was part of that package didn't bother her. And I figure considering how dutiful Bramble ends up being towards her children Sand's and Bramble's relationship develops into a sort of stepmother-stepson kinda deal. If that makes sense ^^

Aww this was super cute! I also really love this as an AU idea. Instead of Brambleclaw being mates with Sauirrelflight, the two have more of a brother-sister type relationship. Imagine if the Erins had done that, it would've been amazing to see. Or they more likely would've forgotten about it and made Squirrel and Bramble mates anyways. Who knows.

I'm happy that you think so! And yeah, the idea of Bramble having this nice sibling-y vibe with Squirrel and Leaf, just seamlessly fit into the Firestar family would've been much preferred these days compared to the drama - and maybe we could've gotten to see Bramble developing his feelings for someone else and his smol sisters teasng him for it hehe. But true that, the Erins would've been only able to remember their 'relation' for about a book and a half I guess, bleh.

Exactly. I would've loved to have seen it happen that way. Honestly it would've been cute to have seen Brambleclaw be overprotective over his little sisters. It would've been so cute to see! Just imagine Squirrelflight gets paired with someone else like maybe Shrewpaw, Stormfur or even Sootfur/Rainwhisker. I can totally see Brambleclaw acting overprotective of her if she was hanging out with a tom or was clearly interested in one. I can totally see Squirrel and Leaf teasing him about being interested in some she-cat. Perhaps Sorreltail(Though SorrelBracken is a great couple) or Whitewing consideing those wer eliterally the only two she-cats in the Clan at that point who weren't his little sisters or taken.
Anyway when Squirrel gets a mate and Jay, Holly and Lion are born he's happy for her and is overprotective towards his niece and nephews. I can also see Squirrelflight confiding to him about the Ashfur incident and Brambleclaw doing something about it. Not as extreme as Hollyleaf but perhaps something else. Then when the truth comes out he supports and cares for her, warding off any rude comments from their Clanmates and also trying to knock some sense into Lionblaze and Jayfeather. Honestly that would've been wonderful to see instead of what we got.
Yup because that's how they roll. "Family relations? What's that? We only know about that sweet, sweet drama" Warriors would be so much better if many things were changed but adding better family/friend relations would've made more well done...Probably.
