Description
Building on the success of the Seeker class and the Excelsior refit, the Envoy was originally intended as a fast diplomatic cruiser to supplement the bigger Vesta, Sovereign and Galaxy class ships and be used where "gunboat diplomacy" was not desired. It was soon realised that these mid-sized cruiser were less resource intensive to construct than the slipstream refit programme for the Excelsior class. Consequently it is likely that over time the Excelsior will be retired in favour of the newer Envoy.Related content

THIS should have been ENTERPRISE "F". We have another one now considered canon in the Odyssey-class but I like this one much better!
