First artwork for 2010!
Something a bit personal I've had on my mind for a while...
I'm on a "tree" roll lately, it seems!
Also, I've decided to give a try at putting my watermark in the corner of the picture rather than in the middle as I used to, to make it less intrusive. Please don't remove it if you download this picture! Thanks!
Limited edition fine art prints are available directly from me on my Etsy store .

I would favorite this work if it didn't mean adding every single other picture of yours. o_o It's just so hauntingly beautiful.

Such a beautiful work! Firstly, I love the ancestors' portraits, they're so delicate and ghost-like. Those black, hollow eyes make them look long gone and distant. However, the girl who is related to them is so real and alive, I like the contrast between their grayness and her redness. And she is similar to them, her facial features resemble those of her grandmothers and aunts (just guessing ), which is kinda scary, cause one immediately thinks of her as another long gone one. Especially because she seems to be ready for this, with her eyes closed and this frame she's "making" around her face... Great picture, I wish I could fave it twice!

Yay tree! Anywho, seems I like everything about this piece. The contrast of colors, the texture, style, oh and the thought put in to it of course. I shall take a peak at your gallery

This is gorgeous
But I really think you should put your signature closer to the subject. It'd be so easy to crop out if you left it down there. Maybe putting it along the line of chair/tree? so it doesn't really stomp over the subject but it's close enough to not be removed [too easily at least]

Thanks!
Usually I put the watermark in the middle, but I really want to give a try at putting it on the side. Watermarks in the middle don't make your work look very professional...!
