I find this a nice restful composition. Simple but with good balance.

Sometimes its not about the photo but about the courage to display something that raises debate and furher study on the viewers part. It also depends on who posts what anotherwords if we are use to you posting mostly landscapes and you decide to post a real abstract photo it gets people thinking.
Therfore you have accomplished your goal!!!!
Cheers

Really nice colours, but I wonder...what is it?
I like your abstract work, though it gives me just a short-time kick, if you know what I mean. More complicated compositions give me more to see, more to think about and more to enjoy. I like both kind of pictures, though.
Can you follow me, or am I talking complete rubbish?

I can follow you.
The opposite happens to me.
Complicated compositions...like landscapes...clutter my head and make me feel like I'm melting.
But with a lot of negative space / minimal compositions....it's like I can think...I have room to feel...everything makes sense.
Funny, how art appeals to different people in different ways.

I am a simplicity lover... and I love this work!
But I also like your borders a lot... I think you should put a border on it... It would be simple in the same way

Damn...I looked through like 10 journals and can't find it.
It was about 5-6 weeks ago...and I think they had a black and white avatar.
Other than that...I can't remmber.

I noticed there is some sort of lens flare (I guess that's what it is), and I'm actually glad to see it; I get the exact same dark spots in some of my skies. I thought it was my lens, but I have a different lens than you. Luckilly it's easily edited. Do you use the hood?

Konijntje In reply to clfry [2006-06-04 17:48:53 +0000 UTC]
Hrmm...I don't know what a hood is. :s
I don't see a flare...can you tell me what quadrant it's in?
I do usually have dark spots that I edit out...and I thought it was a result of sensor damage.

It's the plastic ring that attaches to the front of the lens, helps cut down on light coming in at an angle. I rarely use mine because it interferes with the use of my polarizer.
One is in the upper left, one is in the lower right. They are slightly darker than the surrounding blue. I noticed it in some of my images when I 1st got my camera, but only when using the 18-50 lens, and mostly at the wide end, that would suggest flare. It's more evident when using the polarizer. I can't imagine what would cause sensor damage, especially from new, so unless it's a defect in both of our cam's, I'd rule that out. Plus, if it's the sensor, then I'd think they'd always be in the exact same place, regardless of lens used.

So...weird.
I see nothing.
Maybe it's where I corrected the sensor damaged part...but I don't remember if I had to do that on this on. :\
I don't use anything on my camera, yet...I should...but that would require time and possibly force me to read directions or a manual.

Look in my scraps, I circled the spots...
Sorry if I'm dragging this out, but I want to get to the bottom of it. Do you have any other lenses?
