March 12, 2024. Blue and red ink, with a bit of purple and pink....

It's just starting to change...

It's a walking nightmare, really: (my conception of) the original form of the creature described in John W. Campbell's story, "Who Goes There?"

(Three red eyes and a skin of blue worms---though it doesn't say how many legs or if it had a tail to begin with. All it says it that it was originally about 4 feet tall and 85 pounds.)

[If you're not hip to this thing (there's been a couple movies, too, most noteworthy being John Carpenter's 'The Thing,' 1982), it's a mind-reading alien that can change it's form and character into whatever life form it absorbs, and it can imitate it perfectly.]

Anyway, I've drawn stuff figuring this critter before ('xyz' for example), so I figured I'd try drawing its original form...
