I like to think that this is how Nick shows his affection. (When he finally feels comfortable enough showing affection, that is). In small and subtle flirting/teasing kind of ways. Unfortunately Judy doesn’t always understand or fully appreciate them.
(I can imagine that Nick has tried multiple times to re-enact the infamous “Spaghetti Dinner” scene from Lady and the Tramp.

Hi Wyvern! (It's been a while since we talked, so I had to say hi lol) Yep! Nick can be quite cheesy. I also like to think that Judy doesn't always understand the subtle flirting and teasing because she wasn't really exposed to it as she focused too much on her studies/reaching her goals that she probably didn't have time for romance. XD

Yeah, Nick can be kind of cheesy at times, but it’s the “sincere” kind of cheesy. The kind where you care and trust someone so much, that you’re comfortable enough to be a little goofy around them.
I think so to. Also, she was probably a bit of a social outcast because of her unusual career choice. (I also like the fan theory that Gideon Grey may have picked on Judy because he subconsciously had a crush on her.)
(More like she would question the logic of the scenario: “Why would we be sharing the same plate of spaghetti in the first place? Wouldn’t we have our own meals? And why would we share the same piece of food anyways?”. I’m guessing growing up with so many siblings would make Judy somewhat protective of her food. “If you didn’t eat fast, you didn’t eat!”)
