My trainer avatar thingy (NOT NUZLOCKE) with the starters I picked.
The Fennekin's name is Jackie, and he's Modest Nature while being a little quick tempered. The squirtle's name is Donnel, and he's Calm nature and is capable of taking hits.
I will draw my final E4 team later~

Yeah, you pick the Kalos starter and then when you get to the first city, you get a Kanto starter too
And yes, you can personalize to some extent. There are clothing shops throughout the game and each one has different styles of clothing you can buy to change what your Trainer looks like. The hair color is chosen at the beginning of the game and can't be changed as far as I'm aware.

I wanted to start out with Fennekin and Squirtle too...Β (but I wanted X because of Charizard's X Mega-Evo and since I was getting Torchic, I didn't think it was a wise idea getting three Fire-Types right off the bat, so I started with Froakie and Charmander (Which I boxed anyway in favor of Blaziken.)

I chose the same starters~ I went with a royalty theme for my nicknames, Fennekin was Master and Squirtle was Emperor spelled Emporer because I forgot how to spell emperor

So cute! I started the game with Froakie, Torchic and Bulbasaur. But Froakie don't like me ¬¬ he and his evolutions are too ugly for me.
So my starters was Torchic and Bulbasaur <3 I love Fennekin, but as I had a fire one, I didn't take it.
After the ligue, a friend gave me a modest Fennekin lvl 5 (I love it!!), so once I pass the whole game, I will give to my bf my best pokemons (for save them) and I will start again with that Fennekin, and choosing a Chespin and a Squirtle :3
I liked this game so much, that I have wanted to pass it again since the beginning with new pokemons!!
