Here's another drawing with Kyle interacting with a Little Mermaid character, but unlike the previous two, this was not inspired by Reno Pop Culture Con. This was something I came up with while looking at Kyle's relationships with Ariel and the rest of the Atlantica Royal Family in the Little Mermaid crossover, and remembering certain elements from "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning". That movie, I personally don't care about much, but one thing I absolutely love about that film is that they gave some closure on who Ariel's mother was: Queen Athena. We never got to see her in the previous movies, or the TV Series, so seeing Athena in "Ariel's Beginning" was one of the big highlights of the film. It's really sad though that she was killed off at the beginning of that film.

But as you can see, Kyle Otter's interacting Athena in the flesh. This drawing was inspired by the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" episode where Mallow ends up meeting the spirit of her late mother, resulting in an extremely emotional sequence. Mufasa's ghost sequence from "The Lion King" was also a source of inspiration. It's as if in this moment, Kyle's getting a moment to meet Ariel's mother, and Athena has no shortage of praise and thanks for Kyle for his loyalty to Ariel and the family. Again, it's really sad that Athena died in "Ariel's Beginning", but her impact on that movie is one of the strongest elements in that film, so a drawing of her and Kyle was a must.
