Description
This past weekend, I went to Monterey Bay with my mother and one of my aunts for a special trip that was promised during Christmas of last year in 2021. Like the Indianapolis trip, this trip was something I wanted to do after hearing good things about the local aquarium and the whale watching programs. We got to do a whale watch day and then visit the aquarium. Sadly, we didn't see many whales or dolphins, though we did see a blue whale, and a mother and calf humpback whale. Sadly, I don't have many good photos of them, or at least photos I'd consider on par with some of my high quality pictures. Regardless of the whale watch went, I still had a blast during this trip, and I got a lot of new photos to add to my archives.Anyways, for this photo, this was one of the first sights we saw during the whale watch: a group of sea lions swimming together near one of the piers. They were converging together, and occasionally fanning their tails above the water to warm up, like solar panels.
