I did hide the camera informations (is always the same Canon EOS 400D better known in Usa market as Rebel X... or something like this)
DA continue to show datas, if you want. But when I download the file in another private folder with another extension and after I come back to Jpeg to reduce the "space", the informations about camera are lost.

My new camera is Canon EOS Rebel XTi, so you mean we both have the same model, just different name? How do you delete camera data if you want to? I had wanted to do that with old camera before and did not know how

Yes, we have the same camera ... In european market the name is Eos 400D
I try to explain :
When you download on you pc your shots there are all the data that Canon trasmitt, like kind of camera, size, focus ans so on. Usually the dowload is with the extension JPG or JPEG
If you want to delete these data you have to save again "save as" with another extension GIF or BITMAP that use more space ...
After that you have to open again the file in GIF or BITMAP and "save as" in JPG. Doing this the data disappear.
In addition, for a better wiew, you car reduce the size to an 1280x800 pixel, and increase resolution up to 300 ppi before to save.
So you will have a complete covering of the screen and less space utilized.
To do this I use a free program PhotoFiltre that you can easily download free of charge from internet.
