🐱 What is Dungeons and Drawing? It barely has to do with Dungeons and Dragons. I call it that to represent an RPG where both the host and participants draw pictures of important events, items, characters, enemies, etc as the adventure progresses. And art and adventure it was! The enemies and events were drawn by me, and the characters (and their respective items and events) were drawn and played by the amazing Lexi, , , and !
Thank you to you guys for being my first DND guinea pigs. To thank you, I killed Lexi, , and left with 3.4 HP by the end of the game with game lollipops as compensation. The fact that they even won was incredible, because I made the game purposely difficult. I was ready for all of them to lose, but they did not. It truly felt like I was fighting against them with my monsters and lore, and they were discussing as best they can the strategy and predictions they had to survive. It was beautiful.

📔 Script: 4 childhood friends go up a tower to save their pet cat which has wandered where he should not. On the way, they fight monsters, are given drug deals (that apparently takes?!), and best up whoever gets in their way of getting that cat back!

I based the adventure off of Slay the Spire, the card rouge like game, but I essentially put it into live mode with a story and tweaked/scaled a lot of moves. My favorite part of this was we basically documented the whole adventure into a Google Doc, where the host (me) and they wrote and drew out events and reactions. It is a solid finished document. This is what I am showing for the submission.

I enjoy strategy, so creating a game/system to enforce strategy with others to survive is important to me. Also, I have played as a regular member under regular Dungeons and Dragon (DND) campaigns, but I did not enjoy it as much creatively compared to being the "dungeon master." In Dungeons and Drawing, I just call myself the "narrator." I just finished with the 2021 Dungeons and Drawings with , so I remembered I still need to submit the first 2020 version.

You may be wondering, "Butts, why are you submitting all of a sudden when you have been missing for months?!" Well, I have important and GOOD news for you, which I may delve more into through journals: I quit a lot of my jobs and quit the accursed decorate program that I despised! I got a new academic planner that wanted me to put down monthly goals, so one of the monthly goals was "submit 1 picture/week for DA for the month of July." Well, clearly, I did not do that. So I will interpret and tweak the language of that goal in my head, and submit 3 pictures to DA in a row, and call that goal complete! ✅
