Backstory
Captain Edrick, feared as the cosmic pirate captain with command of hundreds of ships and he has rarely lost a battle since he started. He began his career after losing his home to the empire which drove him to forming a resistance; his team at the time only consisted of himself and a few others but they vowing to destroy the empire. Edrick knew that in order to do anything to the empire, he needed allies to better stand a chance, so for a few years he would attack and free the slaves that were being transported on the empire’s ships and recruiting those that wanted to fight.
In the year 579 of the Zolna (which is his home planet name)calendar, a major event happened, which caused him to become the most infamous and wanted person in empire, the liberation of the planet Iberon. This was the hardest and longest battle that he ever fought but in 2 years, he drove the empire’s forces back to the point where they decide to abandon Iberon, which lead to Edrick victory. After the liberation, indebted to Edrick, the Iberonians declared their allegiance Edrick. Now with new found allies, he journeyed on to liberating other star systems to the point where he had hundreds of planet as his allies.
The empire at this point, had label him as a pirate and the star system that he liberated as an unlawful and criminal infested sector, all so that they can mislead the planet under their rule and keep the information about a resistance from spreading too far. This is the tale of how Edrick became known as cosmic pirate and a freedom fighter.

In recent years, due to him mostly being in the back giving out commands (his height and appearance didn’t help as well); attackers often mistake him for only being good at tactics and weak in close combat, but those attacker all met their end for that grave mistake. Known among his crew as the untouchable prophet, due to Edrick having the ability to see into the future. His race(the Zolnian) had this ability because of a mutation during their evolution. This caused them to adopt a peace loving nature early because they would get vision of their race demise because of a future where they kept waging wars. This ability came in three flavors, one was the short term vision, which most of the population had, second was long term which a few thousand had and the third was having both abilities which was very rare and can be found in only a few hundred Zolnian, Edrick was in this one.

Family crest: it is said to pay homage to his peoples’ belief, where no matter what choices one make, whether right or wrong , they all fall into the sea of time, so make a choice you can stand by. Edrick wears it because he made the choice to fight by abandoning peace
