Background/History: Dominic's ancestry goes back to the French explorers and fur traders (along with notable man, Jean Baptiste Point du Sable) arriving in the Chicago area though it is unclear when the Lycan gene became part of his family tree. He was born in 1880 as his parent's pack were cautious with living amongst the growing human population. Dominic became a protective brother to his younger sibling, Murphy, as he would try to impress the Alpha's daughter.

Things would become rough during Dominic's teenage years. The coal mining industry in Chicago was coming to a close and after several encounters between the humans and his kind, mobs were made by the former as they began to hunt down the wolves. Dominic's pack was forced to hide an abandoned mining village after an altercation between Dominic and some humans at a bar. Three days later, the humans found them. Dominic took his sister deep into the mines along with the rest of the pack as a means to hide and possibly escape but they were never the same on that dark day. Once it was safe for them to head for the forests, the scattered pack was able to regroup and lick their wounds. Dominic's family would be one of several that suffered causalities in the attacks as they lost his mother and his sister suffered an accident that resulted in coma, which she never woke up.

When belief in Werewolves and other "monsters" was dismissed as myth by a majority of humans, it became easier for Dominic to live a life without fear. His protective nature drew him to law enforcement despite the disdain it drew from some of his pack mates and his father. Dominic knew the obstacles and difficulties that it would bring especially when he posed as a human, he would still judge him by his appearance. But he was patient so Dominic helped Lycans while watching human society change. He learned about the prophecy that was talked about by some of the older Lycans. Dominic became fascinated by this subject and would get in touch with others who shared the same interest.

As the country became more acceptable of integration (humans, that is), Dominic made his move. He first headed off to Salem's Port to meet with Tobias, another Werewolf who could help Dominic with his intended profession and had the same hopes regarding the Prophecy. The two of them would also establish a strong Lycan community in the city in hopes it word of it would catch on. He became one of the most respected police detectives in the city, have other Lycans join up in the department and crime lab as a way to keep non-human activities from setting off panic of any sorts.

Dominic was ecstatic in 2008 when Tobias announced to him that a Werewolf by the name of Lecter was on his way to Salem's Port and he was most likely the one that the Prophecy was talking about. Dominic would end up meeting Lecter, his wife, Raven, and become a close friend to their family.
