Description

Animation sequence files are found in the data/animations/sequences folder of the "The Movies." They appear to be simply a list of animation files to be played one after another. The file format is simple, although not every item is understood. It appears that there can be up to three actors, each with a separate list of animations, but most seq files contain 1 actor and a single list of animation files. I thought it might be interesting to write a python script for Blender that would import the animation files in a list and append them together in a blender scene.

I got it to work, but it runs pretty slow. It can take 10-15 minutes to load an entire sequence and create all the pose frames inside the blender timeline. Nevertheless, I did three of them, rendered them and put them together in this short video with loud annoying background music.

One of the characters in the video is Steve-45's Leia Organa mod. I like that costume, but they put way too much starch in those sleeves. You could slice bread with them.
