You deserve all the praise you receive. Your sculptures are top-tier and do justice to the respective characters that they are based on, down to every detail.
Makes me wonder... What you have in store... No one incarnation of Godzilla seems to be the "perfect" one in design to me. Perhaps one day you may take a hand at making a custom designed take on the legendary daikaiju.

Thanks so much! But, most of these are model kits, this one is put out by Image, I just build and paint them. I try to note that in the description, sometimes if I post more than one view, I may not give all the same details on a piece. I apologize if anybody was mislead into thinking I sculpted this model. But I also have done some sculpting. I do hope to sculpt an original concept Godzilla someday, but my next sculpt I hope to do an original concept Rodan, I have had this one in my head for about 2 years, it is time to give birth soon...

Bah, I figured that the figures were made by official companies, but I did not take the extra moment to check to see if that was the case or not. No worries though, Your artistic talent is still on full display.
Between the models' detail and your careful painting, these are perfect!

Thanks again, I really like the quality of the image sculpts, the castings are very good, rarely have air bubbles and generally fit together well with minimal work. I have a lot of these kits, I think I have posted 4 on DA so far..

Yes, each item seems to capture the featured suit's design without any flaws. I wonder if there has been one for the 2000 design?

Yes, they did one for 2000, but it isn't my favorite sculpt for it. Check kaijukits.com, look at the library under Image to see all of them..I won a T'sFacto Godzilla 2000 last year at G-Fest, but I don't think it looks right either. To me, KOC's 30 cm vinyl kit looks pretty good, I have that one, I also like Daimo's has a really cool pose of him roaring and leaning forward.

Pity that one incarnation is not done as much justice as the kits that you show in your gallery. 2000 is my favorite suit design thus far (I still await the reboot's CGI design, but I'm not holding my breath).

yes, I too tread with trepidation and bated breath over that mirey clay, but heck, Im just glad to see another godzilla movie!
For u, my friend, I will try to post some 2000 related pics soon. Have you seen the Millinaian Alien I sculpted yet? I don't know of any other "pre-orga" sculpts..It is in my gallery as we speak...

Well, it's not that I dislike CGI. It's wonderful when used right. But the fact that it's an AMERICAN reboot (though overseen by TOHO) that irks me, given our country's track record for usually butchering an originally foreign series' concepts when they "Westernize" it and such. However, the people leading the project sworn to do justice to what Godzilla is suppose to be like (unlike the 1998 American film). And I'm sure Godzilla will look great, but I do not expect him to look like my personally "ideal" design that builds off the 2000 suit.
I do not believe that I have seen it. I will check it out soon enough.

The director is the guy that did "Monsters", which kinda bored me. I think my fave Godzilla CGI was from "Always 2", a Japanese film, I saw this on youtube, if you have not seen it and can't find it, I will try to find the link. Try "Always Godzilla" I also saw a cool Godzilla vs Jet Jaguar in CGI there..

It's hard to tell how the project will go considering that this is technically the second movie he's directed in his entire career. But I heard that Monsters was a good film. But either way, its good that he's going to stick closer to the roots.
I've seen it. I was not impressed with the design or the level of computer animation they used.

This model does come in transparent resin, but I did not get that one. It cost more and I don't want to have my models lit up to look good..

Gorgeous, gorgeous, and GORGEOUS!!!!! Magnificent modelwork!!! The colors are so very vibrant and contrast beautifully with the darker regular skin tones.
