Gorgeous textures and wonderful juxtaposition! It is so suprising to be so up-close and tiny compared to the other large and expansive celestial bodies seen in a lot of your work. Unless, we are dealing with a super-sized flower

Thank you. It doesn't matter if subjects are small or large. If you are looking carefully and accept them as they are, they are all interesting and precious. Tiny details of a wild flower or patterns on a distant planet. The universe is full of wonders for those who are willing to see.

I've had this on my screen now for an entire album and that is a crazy good juxtoposition of visual textures.
The blur of the background, the smooth blending of the orchid and then the resistance to all blending on the orb.
The no shape in the far, the starburst in the middle and planetary in your face.
A place of an for ...curiosity.

My pleasure! Ever since Jim Blinn created some math for JPL to to show a computer generated movie of the voyager flyby I was hooked. My imagination always trys to be there, too. That orb, those orbs are fun that way. For me the pattern in the orb is ...cool in a majikal way.
