Description
Not to be confused with Hoof Foot II and III in my scraps...this is the first foot into hoof transformation that has made it into my gallery. To start off, I had to hold my three middle toes together when scanning my foot. Once scanning was complete, I made extensive use of the liquify filter to distort the middle toes into a cloven hoof like shape. Then I applied some texture on top to replace the very distorted toe prints. Having no idea what a foot would really look like if changing into a hoof, I think this looks pretty good.
Makes me wonder what the top of this foot would look like.
The foot is my own.
Done in Photoshop 7.

I enjoy your gallery, and most of your work is very realistic, but I'm afraid I'll have to tell you something about animal anatomy. The hoof is NOT an extremity, it is a very large NAIL, that happens to be large and flat enough to be walked on. (A cloven hoof is not two toes, it is a hoof that is curved, similarly to claws.) Horses and most unguligrade animals walk on their hooves, with the phalanges, metatarsals, and tarsals suspended above the ground. (This is why many depictions of anthropomorphic equines, caprines, etc. do not look natural - the hoof frequently *replaces* the foot!)
Because of this, I think it'd be pretty difficult to add a hoof to a foot from the angle of a scanner. A transformation sequence could probably have the toes fuse together and/or move up the foot, then the frontmost nail growing to an obscene size until it turns into a hoof.
Sorry for the lecture, but I hope this helps!

Nice work as usual. I think if you started sublimating the little toe and shrinking the big toe, that would be pretty cool. Maybe something for a second frame?

True. So what's the next foot going to be? *sits and waits patiently with tail thumping the floor hinting that i'm not so patient as I try to appear*

Well I though it to be less resembling a human foot and more a hoof. Like a later stage in the transformation. :]
