Description
Riri Williams was a prodigy at engineering and mechanics and initially wanted to use her knowledge to build supportive gear to aid superheroes. After a tragic incident that claimed the lives of her best friend and stepfather, Riri reverse engineered the Iron Man armor and created her own using the resources of MIT, and chose to be more proactive in the hero role. In this role, she took part in the Second Civil War which saw Captain Marvel claim the life of Tony Stark. HIs AI consciousness aided her in the development of a newer, more aerodynamic set of armor which she used in the events of Secret Empire, as well as her role in the Champions before she voluntarily retired the mantle to ensure her mother's continued safety. She may no longer be a hero, but she remains as Riri Williams, Ironheart.
