Much love for Seymour *hugs him...carefully....* I think this took about 2 weeks on and off x_X But I learned loads, as usual and I'm quite pleased with the results
Ive had this idea in my head for ages but have only just decided to paint it. Its gone through quite a lot of editing an re-painting, but it was worth it in the end
If enough people are interested in a progress pic I might do one, so get commenting XDOh! and whilst hunting for the above quotes, I came across a new piece of concept art on ffwiki of young Seymour summoning Anima (or possibly performing a sending...he does appear to be dancing lol) His face is verging on heartbreaking though

Yes I honestly think he doesn't get the attention he deserves. I mean so many go for Tidus and IMO he isn't that good of a character..lol

Hahaha honestly the only characters I liked from that game were Seymour and Auron..lol.And I did like Lulu and her additude but I didn't really dig her cheast basically haning out..lol. I honestly wanted to see more of Seymour especially with Anima. She was great even though she came about from a sad situation.

You know, this painting really hits home why it's so hard for me to play FFX. I sympathized with Seymour. I would have preferred to play his side of the story and take on the world and its sick system. T-T And saved his mom. Somehow. With... time travel. >.>

He is one of the sexiest bad guys in the later FF series and I adore this portrait of him.

Wow! This is amazing work!!!!!! Mirrors are especially hard to do also. The position and expression of the characters in this is exceptional! Seymour has his body facing away from them yet he is glancing over slightly with one eye looking upon them and Anima has her face buried in grief from the death of her husband. This piece is filled with such heartbreak.
Is this an entry for the Maester Seymour contest??

I never really liked Seymour, but I think 90% of that was to do with his costume and the fact that HE JUST WOULDN'T DIE!
But I think if they delved a little deeper into his character I would've liked him much better... for example at Zanarkand in the game where they saw a young/kid Seymour being all "No mother I don't want you to become a fayth!" I was intrigued but they never really explained it.
This is a really brilliant piece though. You captured his personality perfectly!

I love all the little details: the design on the fabrics, the blood vessels on his hand and arm, the framework and the dragons on his chest. Your colouring in general's awesome as well. Oh and his eye - the one looking at us - is perfect. 
I think the only thing I'd like to ask you about is his left hand. It seems odd that you can't see it in the mirror, even a little bit. It just kind of disappears. Unless I've taken the reflection the wrong way and it isn't a reflection at all. o_o If that's the case please ignore me.

Wow, this is absolutely incredible. The detail on this picture is ridiculous. Not to mention that you had to paint Seymour's reflection in the mirror. So basically you painted Seymour twice in the same picture at a different angle. It's amazing. Plus his expression is so...Seymour. *gushes* God, you make me want to play this game again.
Also, thanks for that concept art. I've never seen that one before and it...it is heartbreaking. But I love it. It captures his past well.

Luv all the little details and picture shows how much you have been putting effort to it.
But you know what... Before I read your description... I didn't look careful enough into it. First Though ( maybe because misreading the title " the morning after " ) there was Yuna at the background and body front of her wasn't actually body - something like costume and mask. Then started to think why Seymour ever would wan't to someone put up act with someone who's wearing mask which represents his father.
