So... this is my first offical take at the MLP Movie style. I have to say while it's a fun, squishy, cute style, it's not as easy as it looks. I don't know what's more tedious, the eyes, or the shading techniques. The line work is similiar to the show style, but the shape of the faces and hooves and even eyes tend to be slightly different, just off from each other enough that I have to completely switch up the shapes just to get porprotions right. I'm not sure if I'll include this in my commissions or not since currently, the original line work is being done by hand and not my puppets. This means it takes longer to get a sketch down, then combining color and some shading and highlights in flash, and finish up some details in photoshop.

DRWolf seems to fit the character design of Capper TOO well IMO XD lol! Surprisingly I had to use two shading techniques for him despite my other two OCs only needed the one. He has a combo of solid shading mixed with gradient shading to give his coat and body some depth. While I know the original character "Capper" doesn't have highlights in his eyes like the ponies do, I wanted to keep the eye tradition in Doc, as well, his OC is cute and is worthy of such highlights ^^

Blissy as you can see has a much desaturated color scheme going on, and for good reason, otherwise I wouldn't be able to get as much shading and detail out of her if I didn't. That's the problem with my OC, I never considered her being desaturated when I first created her. I hope to remedy that in the future, but for now I like how she came out. She surprisingly fits the show style pretty well? Don't you think?

And as for Big Bird I FINALLY got around to making him a merpony or sea pony. SHOO BE DOO SHOOP SHOOP BE DO! He was probably the most tedious of the three, what with the transparent fins, the cutiemark being slapped on the fin, some scales being highlighted on the torso. But despite all that, I think the most changling part was just...making him stand out. I've tried to find some good images of the male Sea Ponies from the film, and honestly? They don't have a whole lot of detail going on for them... so it was a challenge to make Silver pop as much as I got him to. Luckily Silver's OC has a lot of color differences going on and some high lights here and there, that allowed me to give him more color, shading and depth. Trying to keep to the movie style, but at the same time give his character some room to stand out... eh probably the most difficult part about this piece. I hopefully gave him some justice. Sorry folks but no mermaid bra for him XD I'd say he's pretty uncomfortable as is in this image lol.

But of course I would love to hear feedback or constructive critisizim from you guys. Remember this is my FIRST attempt at the MOVIE style for My Little Pony. Obviously there is room to grow, but for a beginner at the style, I hope I got close. Feedback comments are appreciated and thanks for looking!
