Nevah Evah mess with the dark elves. ]:The armor design is heavily inspired by a texture mod I did together with =OchreJelly for Lineage 2, called the dark knight armors. So the image is going to be used as part of a site design for L2 Vendetta , even though everything other than the armor itself and the race bears pretty much no relation to the game.
Corel Painter 9, Wacom Intuos 3, 30-ish hours. It was fun to do something in a landscape format for a change. Now, back to the bajillion projects on my to-do list. /o/
May be reposted for as long as my full name and preferably a link back to my gallery are provided in a clear manner along with the image. No modifications.

I like the job you did coloring, and you're an amazing person on the computer, but...
Yeah, there's a but.
You're composition is...well... boring. The angle of the person seems impossible, and I don't like that I can't tell which way she is turned. The little ball of light is front and center, remember that two-thirds, one-third rule? You just need to work on that.
Basically, the composition needs work, but your detailing skills are very advanced, and you have an eye for color.

Thanks for the crit! The light thinger is in the center because in the web design that it was essentially made for, there will be a logo below it, long story short it's purposeful.
As for why you can't tell which way she is turned... perhaps 'cause it's a he?

I loooove the detail put into that...thing above his ear. With the eye-like thing in the center...dunno what it is, but the detail on it is gorgeous.
And the detail in the armor is also amazing. I could never do that.

Thanks a lot! Those are sort of like metallic wings that are growing out of the back of the armor, a bit hard to tell from this angle. They're supposed to glow red where they connect to the back, but with the pauldron in the way it's a bit hard to tell. xP
