I decided to much about with the different blending modes in Clip Studio Paint and see what each of them do.

There's a little bit of gobbledygook in some of them, but unless you're trying to acheive a very, very precise effect, the mathmatical aspects shouldn't really matter. A lot of these modes are rarely used anyway, especially for casual artists.

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a super professional when it comes to the technical side of drawing programs. You're better off having a look at this tutorial, then trying the effects out yourself and experimenting to properly learn how each of them work.
