Tutorial: How to Make Your Own Photoshop Brush.The Basics of Brush Creation
My first tutorial. And I'm not from English-speaking country. Which means I'm sorry for my mistakes. Just ignore them, please.
I love creating brushes and I've already made more than 100 sets. I give them away for free on the deviantart, so feel free to look at my gallery.
This tutorial is to help beginners in brush making. I tried to write it as simple as possible.

I found out the other day that there are actually size limits for creating brushes

CS5 allows to create 2500x2500 brush. PS 7.0 as far as I remember only 1000x1000.

yeah, it took me half an hour to find out! I wanted to make some really big brushes and for some reason I couldn't. It was also hard to find an explanation online, til I stumbled about a tutorial that mentioned the size limits

how do you make your brushes have a glow effect ...like-[link]

It's simple layer blending. I choose outer or inner glow and play with opacity, spread, size and etc.
