It had been a long time since Merida had seen Hiccup.. She had been wondering if he was sick or well. Dragons flew overhead, but none of them were the fearless Night Fury. He was a handsome boy.. Sure a little younger and a little shorter, but she was tall and she didn't mind. Every time she saw him with Astrid her heart pounded with jealousy. Every time any other girl so much as told him a bad joke, if it hurt him, she wanted to rip their hair out. Crazy? Maybe. Or maybe just jealous of all the attention Astrid got from him. While he never seemed to notice her...

Merida was riding her horse through the forest at a fast pace, she had tears streaming down her face. Finally she stopped, and found herself in the middle of the odd stones. She sighed, and saw a blue floating.. spirit? Curiousity got the better of her and she followed the odd blue things, guiding her horse along.. Until she came to a building.. The castle, to be more precise. Er rather.. The dungeons entrance.. Tieing her horse outside the castle, she crept closer..

Cautiously entering the dungeons, she heard echoing footsteps and covered her mouth, holding back a gasp. It was Hiccup.. He seemed stressed.. Wordlessly, she walked over to him and hugged him. He looked down, his hair falling over his eyes. "Er.. thanks." He said quietly. Then, without looking at her, he said softly, "I've been meaning to tell you something..."

Her expression changed to pure curiousity and she smiled. "Anything, Hiccup. Whats botherin' with ye?" She said softly. His response floored her. "I like you." Puzzled, she poked a finger in the air towards him, pointing at him, then to her. She couldn't believe it.. He liked her... He.. Liked her. He liked her!!!
