Description
This a lucky shot of a little squirrel who visited my garden this afternoon to have lunch. It is the first time that I got such a little dude THAT close before my lens. Enjoy the picture!------------------------------------------------

Dieses hier war recht braun und fing in der Sonne an rötlich zu leuchten. Ich habe noch andere Aufnahmen ohne Sonne, da sieht man die roten Schimmer fast nicht. Aber so kommt es natürlich viel schöner raus. War jedenfalls nett, wie es da so für mich sitzen geblieben ist.

What is amazing, is I have a lifesize metal squirrel candle holder on my desk - in that SAME exact pose, only a candle goes in the nut shell he's holding. Amazing!

A certain amount of co-operation, whether willingly or involuntarily is definitely required! I've just been trying to have a shoot of my cats; Molly decided this was the time to get out into the garden, and Murry wouldn't keep still! Richard's gone off for the day and taken all the other lenses with him, so I had little choice but to use my standard lens with no image stabilisation. Bummer! Now they're both begging me for food, and its nearly 4 hours too early! They think because their dad's not around they have an easy ride! lol! (Actually he's gone to his aunt's funeral!)

Sorry to hear that someone from the family died. Sincere condolences. Hope you have a good time anyway being a grass widow without lenses. LOL! By the way Ben is going out finally. I let him out the first time yesterday. He disappeared after he hung around in the garden for half an hour and I already thought he wouldn't come back but after three hours he stood at the door again.

No, I was frustrated with my one silly little standard lens! Grrrrr.. We're waiting for the new Sigma 18-25 OS F3.8-5.6 DC HSM for Canon to come out over here in GB. At the moment its available only in America, but its what I want for myself, as it will have a decent range all in one hit. They reckon it'll be around May before its obtainable here.

I was more than lucky with that. These little creatures are very shy and normally run when someone approaches them. Of all places he sat in my tree directly before my room window.
