Personality: Shaina is all about business. She has clear cut goals and she’ll stop at nothing to reach them. She’s got a great sense of business and doesn’t hesitate to take advantage of a situation using her headstrong attitude and confidence to achieve what she wants. Shaina will never resort to dirty tactics, she finds them petty and desperate. She’d rather use skill and talent to get what she wants. Shaina is a natural flirt and has no problem using it to tease others. She’s also prone to saying exactly what’s on her mind. Shaina’s aspirations are to own and run her own orchard, growing a variety of things from berries to apricorns. Until she’s ready to do this, she currently works for the Bibarel Berry Company, a privately own business, where she works as its marketing/public relations rep and a part time agriculturist. She’s happy with what she does.

When she’s not out doing her business thing, Shaina enjoys tending to her mini garden, running, and watching movies. While good in social situations, she enjoys her privacy, and spending time with close friends. She dislikes cleaning, olives, and anyone who annoys her. Shaina’s secret weakness is chocolate, she can’t go a day without it.

History: Shaina is a native of Kanto and grew up in Pallet Town, Vermillion City, and parts of Sinnoh. She is an only child but grew up around her cousins, including Harlan and Adelaide. Shaina’s interest in agriculture came from helping her grandfather with his greenhouse, where he grew a variety of plants and even a couple of berry bushes. Once she graduated from high school, she entered college as a double major in agriculture and marketing.

Shaina loves pokemon but holds no real interest in battling, she prefers to use them to attend to her garden. She battles only out of necessity or even just to entertain someone. All of her pokemon provide some assistance in growing something. She usually only travels with her Ivysaur, Lilliya, while the rest of her pokemon are back at the Bibarel Berry Company in Ecruteak City. Her position as a marketing/PR rep have her traveling around the different regions.

Her reasons for entering Charpie into the STAB tournament were mainly to help her friend out but also promote the growing Bibarel Berry Company with special offers and giveaways. Don't be surprised if Shaina approaches you with a business offer or about any of the Bibarel Berry Company's special offers.

Shaina’s Relationship with Charpie: The two were brought together in the same room during their freshman year in college. Although their relationship started out rocky, the two grew into good friends, then close friends (after Charpie helped Shaina through something very personal), and finally best friends. They were roommates all throughout college and remained constantly in touch after graduation. While apart, they talk to each other at least once a week or so.

Shaina enjoys Charpie’s openness, easy going personality, and willingness to accept Shaina for who she is. They share a lot of the same interest including biology, pokemon, and some of the same themes in books and movies. Shaina is the more dynamic one of the duo. She is fully aware of how troubled her friend is at the moment and entered Charpie into the tournament to help her out financially and mentally.
