"My bad, Loretta," Charpie apologized as she called the Bibarel back to her pokeball. It wasn't looking good for her but Charpie still had one more pokemon that she could use. She quickly flipped through all her options. There was Maybell but she was weak to Ghost types, Verde wouldn't be as effective as she would hope, Gloria might work but she needed someone bigger to counter that strength. And while she would use Temeraire, she needed someone who would listen to her and think calmly on their own. That only left….

Charpie smiled, Louie would do just fine against an opponent like this. She took out his pokeball and threw it in. "Come on, Louie! Let's show 'em what we're made of."
The Feraligatr appeared before the Dusknoir with a lazy but skillful slip into the water.

"Good job, Louie. He can't get you as easily in the water. That's where we have the advantage." The Feraligatr nodded and rolled under the water, completely disappearing from sight.

"We've dealt with worse before, Nighthead!" Keani reasoned. "Use gravity to make things difficult for him!" The Dusknoir hovered near the edge of the canal, hesitant to go completely in the water. He quickly searched for his opponent, but the water was moving too fast with the bottom hard to see. The Dusknoir moved back and forth, searching.

Suddenly a small wave of water appeared, splashing him at his side. Nighthead swung around as soon as he felt drops on his back, attaching with Gravity, only to find nothing there.

Keani shouted, "NIGHTO, BEHIND YOU!"

Too late. As soon as Keani shouted the warning, Louie was out of the water, sinking his teeth with a powerful and effective Crunch.

"The tables have turned folks! Using a distraction, the Feraligatr snuck up with Crunch!"

"Nighthead, get out of there! Let's get him out of the water!" Keani snapped.

"Louie, don't let him!" Charpie shouted back. "Use SURF!"

Louie acknowledge with a deeper slip in to the water. An instant later coming back out with a powerful wave following and crashing into the retreating Dusknoir and bringing him towards the waiting Feraligatr.

"He should be weak Louie! Use Crunch again!"

"Nighthead, get out of there!" But Louie was quick in going with the kill. While the Dusknoir was trying to get his bearings, Louie bit down hard again, sealing the fate of the opponent and knocking him out.

"The Dusknoir is out by a chain of effective and strong attack!" Mike exclaimed to the audience. "Now both trainers are down one pokemon with only one left."

Charpie breathed a small sigh of relief. Louie had taken out the Dusknoir with little problem and no damage. She only hoped that Keani's next pokemon would be just as simple.

Keani collected Nighthead into his pokeball but didn't look too upset. She reached for another. "I really don't want to use him because he's so fucking crazy and unpredictable but I definitely don't want to lose to someone who makes dumb mistakes like you do."

An honest mistake, Charpie defended to herself. Although it didn't feel that way. Keani was right and she knew she messed up with Loretta, but she had made it up by using Louie. She would do her best not to let it happen again.

Keani tossed the pokeball up and caught it, pausing only a second before throwing it in. "You're not the only one who has strong water pokemon!"
