Chumvi, Mheetu and Tojo.

The lionesses knew the day was near. The day their sons would no longer be welcome into the Pridelands. They had almost grown their manes, which meant they were almost ready to start a life of their own.

Chumvi and Tojo entered the lionesses den as planned. Sarabi, Sarafina and Nala were waiting for them. Mheetu was sound asleep in his mothers paws. "Chumvi, Tojo, are you sure you'll be alright on your own?" Asked the Queen.

The boys bowed their heads. "Don't worry about us Sarabi. If you've grown up in this place you can survive anywhere."

Chumvis comment made Sarafina look down at her son. "This is no place for a cub to be raised. Anywhere is better than here. I want you to take Mheetu."

The atmosphere grew heavy. "Sarafina, Mheetu is no where near to being a threat to Scar. He has a year left in the Pridelands at least," Sarabi pleaded. "The ouldntds are no place for a cub!"

"I know my son," Sarafina responded. She smiled at the older boys. "You boys know how to tip toe your way round a tyrant. You have kept your heads down and not made any fuss. I fear Mheetu will not be as quiet. He has a quick mind, and one wrong comment and.... well, who knows what would happen. I would rather see him leave with you and have at least a chance, than stay here with me and live in fear. Promise me you'll look after him!"

Tojo gulped, "we promise..."
