My boyfriend (who does makeup) did something really similar to this, only it was all over my face and there was like, gruesome horror makeup underneath the open zippers :3 Really cool <3

Wow! This is actually very insightful - it reminds me of what I have been studying in English - George Orwell - and how politicians manipulate language and in our modern society, images in order to grant themselves with power over the people. The zipping closed of the eye would symbolise censorship or preventing the understanding of politics on a deeper level by the general public - it's wonderful! And I like the title that you gave the photograph too - favourite for it's insightfulness.
