Description College year: 2, 1st semester
Course: Computer Animation I

Modeling project in Maya. We learned how to polygon model from scratch with various techniques; make UVs and textures; play with features like bump maps, displacement maps, specular light, etc.; and a bit of lighting. We had to model Tux, the Linux penguin.

Trust me that mine looks pretty darn close to if not perfectly like the toy. It really looks like rubber! Wanna squeeze it and hear it squeak! Even got the seams and the tiny puffed cheeks. We were allowed to put almost anything we wanted on the belly in place of the original ā€œhpā€ logo.
