Description
Date: 15th November 1962Special ambulance and evacuations trains often carried a headboard up front detonating the passengers aboard, as seen here on NWR No.5 βJamesβ.
The sole L&YR 28 with extended frames, locomotive was posted in France during WWI, is seen here climbing the Wellsworth Gradient, as a storm brews above.
The locomotive is currently undergoing overhaul at the Ffarquhar Branch Heritage Railway.
