I’ve been driven back towards the Fallout franchise, ( excluding Fallout 76 and the mobile game) and I had a lot of fun revisiting it, but I always thought the unspecified protagonist was always a pretty boring choice, so I decided to make an hypothetical protagonist for an hypothetical Fallout game set in Toronto, because we’ve seen to much of America.

Lore time:

Pio Gronim was a detective in the police department of Toronto, that was chasing down a serial killer, who scarred his victims with acid, through an apparently abandoned chemical facility, when a few bomb directed towards Washington, accidentally fell in Canada. During the blast, Pio fell in one of the vats, little did he know that the liquid contained in those vats was F.E.V, the forced evolutionary virus that created the super mutants, but the viruses effects on Pio were far different, in fact, F.E.V had preserved his body for 200 years until an highly intelligent super mutant ( Doc. Richard Spencer) rescued him. Since Pio’s body was rapidly decomposing after the extraction from the vat, Doc. Spencer tried his best to save the detective, but unfortunately his cranium and his right hand were to far gone, so using the nearby technology, he created an helmet that could contain his brain an permit him to eat, drink, breath and talk. Unluckily Gronim had also lost all of his memories, only remembering the chase with the serial killer, which he remembered by looking at his badge, and the image of a woman, that he remembered by looking at a medallion in his pockets. After the two escape the facility now surrounded by feral ghouls, Doc. Spencer makes a prosthetic for his hand using a power fist. Now armed and determined and with Doc’s help, Pio Gronim now wonders the frozen streets of Toronto while trying to return his memories and stopping or helping the plans of the many factions that inhabit the freezing wasteland.
