Another evil entity for the random group of heroes universe, I still don’t have a name for them, just like Mammon, Balaam is one of the entities that appears after heroes, villains and authorities disappeared. Balaam was named after the Demon of knowledge, who could read the past, the present and the future. It is unsure if this entity has the same ability as it only speaks in random facts, like: “Potassium is contained in bananas” or “ The first Reich ended in 1815”, every time he says a fact a page of the book he has as its head turns, the voice sounds almost robotic and sometimes it repeats itself. Balaam is usually represented as either a bull, with the tail of a snake as a hawk, so I decided to put all of them in the design. Balaam can shoot physical words that turn the unfortunate target into a book, with their face as their cover, and all their memories as the content. The victim is still lucid in this state, and there is an 80% chance that they’ll turn back to normal after the entity is eliminated. Balaam is a lot more weaker than Mammon as it doesn’t stand a chance in close quarters combat, and it’s deformed wings can’t make it go far, but due to the number of victims it has turned, it’s a top elimination priority. Its tail can produce flames that engulf it when endangered, if necessary it can even turn himself invisible, but it will continue to spit out fact, making it possible to understand its immediate location. Balaam was the team first true victory as they were searching for what was believed to be its weakness: “ an ancient copy of the Ancient testament” in an old ruin in Pakistan where apparently it made its own library with the local people as books. The team was able to destroy the book and Balaam turned into dust leaving only his book head behind. The civilians were all rescued, but the planner asked the heroes to secure the book for further researches.
