Much like Sugar he was also inspired by the work of the comedic trio Aldo Giovanni and Giacomo, specifically from the character portrayed by Aldo in the movie “Così è la vita”.
Bancomat would be one of the first characters that we get to meet, as he escape while he’s been transferred from another prison. With this scene we already establish his ability in pickpocketing and lock picking, however he refuses to kill the cop that he now hold hostage, not having the guts to do so. After knocking his former captor unconscious, he receive a phone through a drone, from which the mysterious billionaire who founded S.O.B.E.C offers him to join the many others recruits in the hunt for the keys. He accepts the offer only for self gain as he never had neither a home nor a proper job. The billionaire was impressed by his mastery of lock picking that apparently had made him enter into places where no ordinary thief has never been. Bancomat will team up with various groups, who he always ditched whenever a situation was getting dangerous. Once he finally meet the surviving participants and is forced to team up with them, whoever reading the story will immediately see him as a possible traitor, fearing for the others safety. And the character themselves do not trust him as he said his previous job was “fixing doors”.
Bancomat isn’t particularly bright and is a bit of a cry baby in stressful situations and often has a “minimal effort, maximum gain” type of approach to things, but his selfish and cowardly nature has saved his butt multiple times, after all when you live in the streets all of your life, you get used to the rules of the urban jungle. His character arch would be probably try to become less selfish and learning to work with others, putting his needs aside while thinking more about the ones of the people around him.
