In this entry: www.deviantart.com/logbot03/ar… , I introduced a random group of heroes, and I’m quite happy with their design, and since I gave minimal background to each member, I decided to start making these little sketches with a complete story for them. The first member of the team is Magmaster. I also decided to make the costume be even more minimal. I decided to make two portraits of before and after her transformation.

Kasey is the only member of the team that had a relatively normal life before the weird event that cause the world to go to shit. She was always energetic and particularly social, she didn’t have bad grades, but she wasn’t a genius either. Her biggest passion was volleyball, since she was a child she was fascinated by that sport and started training at an early age, thus being already pretty athletic when she first entered high school. She was such the prodigy that she got in the official school team, where she was the youngest. She quickly became friends with her new teammates and she even received a scholarship that guaranteed her a place in a University. But after winning an important match with a rival school, she started feeling a weird itch on her wrist. She thought she must’ve hurt the ball pretty hard so she didn’t care that much, but when she went to the bathroom, the itch got stronger, and on her wrist a black rocky layer was starting to form. Desperate she started scratching it harder, but it was starting to spread all over her body. She rushed out of the bathroom panicking and screaming for help, but there was nobody there, as it they just vanished into thin air. And if things couldn’t get any worse, her whole body, now covered in the rocky layer, was starting to melt like it was turning into lava. She ran as fast as she could to the exit, but her body was slowing falling apart, as she was now just a molten mass she slowly approached the exit until she fainted.
Later she woke up in box made of a transparent material. Around her there were other six boxes identical to hers, but the material seemed to be mirrored, so she couldn’t the inside, but she could see her reflection. What she saw in that mirrored surface made her flinch, her eyes had become pool of molten magma and the rocky layer was all over her. After many attempts of escaping and scratching the layer off, she eventually gave up and started crying, until she heard a voice coming from one of the boxes…..
