Here’s once again a new addition for Spider-Girl’s rouge gallery. Originally Reikai ( which means monstrous spirit in Japanese) was supposed to be a reinterpretation of Massacre, then I decided to make him Mr. Negative and then I decided to make him a completely original character.

Bio:

Reikai is an enigma. Nobody knows where he came from or why he does the things he does and since he never says a word, it’s hard to get some information from him. He always wear a yellow raincoat and a gold Japanese mask that seems to be attached to his face. Reikai however doesn’t seem to be controlled by the artifact, as studies showed that he’s completely lucid. Mayday encountered Reikai during one of her patrols, just as he was entering a small building. A guy with a raincoat in a sunny day is kind of weird, but the mask definitely gave some alarms signals to Mayday who immediately went to check the building, but when she got on the ground she realized that it was no ordinary building, it was “The Bar with no Name”. While she was thinking if it was a good idea to enter or not, a coir of screams gave her a reason to get inside. Once inside she saw a brutal spectacle, she already saw a dead body after her first encounter with Mr. Melt, but this was a spectacle out of a Slasher movie, she attended the wounds of a the few survivors and left an anonymous call to the police. During the next few days Mayday was on a constant lookout, fearing a crime wave similar to the one that Slane provoked, fortunately her efforts and her Spider-cams, she was able to track down Reikai. Since he killed only criminals previously, Spider Girl thought he was a violent vigilante, but this time he started attacking innocent bystanders. Fortunately our heroine got to the crime scene in time to prevent a bloodbath. Reikai proved to be a formidable opponent, being able to become incorporeal, and creating some sort of black fire that he could solidify, mainly to give himself claws. In the end both of them were forced to flee to attend to their wounds. Realizing that her suit wasn’t enough to take down the villain, Mayday, with the help of her father, crafted her first alternative Spider suit: “ The Demon Slayer”. This upgrade made her slower, but it helped a lot against the flames, Reikai intangibility was still a problem, but after realizing that her webs blocked this ability for a short time, it was just a matter of good timing to putting down the silent serial killer for good.
