The second member of the random group of heroes I have posted a while back, for more context here’s the link (www.deviantart.com/logbot03/ar… ), Clay has a really simple design, but it can be weirdly hard to properly draw. As you can clearly see he was vastly inspired by the yellow devil from Megaman. Since he can split into three little golems I thought it would be funny to make a sketch of him fully split. Unlike the other members of the team there’s not much I haven’t said in the first entry, so this is going to be short.

Clay didn’t really have a name before he met the team. He was created for only one purpose: to protect the ark of the covenant. He wasn’t the only golem created by the rabbi Jehuda Löw ben Bezalel, but he was certainly the most unique. Clay was forged using a piece of the tablets of the seven commandments, so that he could always be bonded with the ark, the fragment melted and created the Golem. Unfortunately the creature wasn’t really a fighter, despite its formidable strength and his ability to split, Clay was peaceful and wanted nothing to do with fighting unless it was the last possible solution. The rabbi eventually grew attached to its creation and treated him like a son. It was discovered that the golem was also an extremely fast learner, learning certain languages by just hearing people speak. When the Romans attacked Jerusalem, Clay was hidden alongside the ark in a crypt, the rabbi promised his dear creation that one day he would be able to see the world again, but he was clearly lying. The golem went into hibernation for centuries, until a group of archeologists found the ark. Clay stood in front of them, and learned their language while they spoke, but as he was about to respond, the human just disappeared in front of him. So after sealing away the ark, he ventured outside of the crypt but suddenly the effects of the prolonged hibernation kicked in and he fainted short after exciting the digging site. He will later wake up in a box made of a transparent material because of the crying of a girl….
