Description
Before I talk about this character, I must first introduce the canon Slide. There are at least 4 characters who went by this name and a fifth one who simply use a suit with similar properties. If you have watched the most recent marvel show, you’ll probably that Slide’s real name is Jelome Beacher, a scientist which invented a substance ( in the comics it was just the suit) which removes any type of friction. He had quite the career, allying with both criminals and superheroes like Luke Cage and Spider-Man. Later his cousin Matt will temporarily gain the mantle of Slide, but he was almost immediately killed off and later resurrected, while the original Slide later went on a gang war between super criminal, where he was definitely killed off. After this event, the depowered mutant Stacy X wore a suit with similar properties, when she became one of the New Warriors and she later accompanied the X-men in some of their missions. In one of said events she died during an explosion( guess the suit didn’t give her enough speed), after this the Mantle of Slide became more heroic. The fourth person to put on the suit was an NYPD officer who tried to captured Spider-Man and the many criminals that went as ordinary costumers at the bar with no name, a shame that he abandoned the suit as I think his investigation could have been interesting to follow. The last Slide is quite an enigma, nobody knows where he got the suit nor who he really is, but one day he just joined the Avengers ( take that MCU Spider-Man!).

After reading all this complicate lore I decided to make Slide a hero, as I find this incarnations of the character far more interesting, and as a tribute to the only female character to use the suit, I named her Stacy and made her a mutant with the power of producing a fraction reducing chemical from her skin. I previously mentioned her in my Sinister six entry, where I said she formed an alliance with Spider-Girl and the 2nd Shocker.
For the design I used the classic X-men color scheme, and I tried to make the goggles as faithful to the original design, also I gave her a more distinctive haircut to make the design stand out more.
