So yeah, I was playing rainbow six one day and I thought to myself: “ You know what? This guy’s weapons give me inspiration for some robot masters!” So yeah, here’s the first of the bunch: Termite man, fifth entry of Megaman New Hope. Hope you’ll enjoy.

Catchphrase: “ Let the blasts consume you!”

Lore time!

Termite man was created by the intrepid member of the secret society: Doctor Tyler Shown. Termite man is built to breaches into buildings occupied by enemy forces, occasionally destroying them completely after completing the operation. He’s a risk taker, just like Fortress man (Megaman New Horizons), so the two generally hang out together, not because they like each others, but because one or the other will eventually get into trouble. Fortress gets to show off his skills and pump up his ego, while Termite man has an excuse to blow stuff up. His stage is a complex that he has currently breach alongside a group of terrorist called the pack, whose leader( The Packmaster) is also a member of the secret society. The level is filled with Rainbow Six Siege themed enemies, like Fuze’s cluster charges, Gojo’s explosive barriers and naturally Termites Wall breaching charges, except this time, they are traps that activates when the player get close, they can be both on floors and walls. During the level you can find the remains of a original playable character: Nitro Blast, one of Mastermind’s ( one of the 3 original characters I’ve mentioned in one of my posts) siblings, that can shoot bullets that explode when they touch something. When fighting Termite man the player will find him threatening some civilians with explosives, Megaman will buy them some time to escape while he holds Termite man back. During the fight he will jump in a way similar to Serge in Megaman X2, shooting 4 dinamite sticks, or he will slide, leaving behind his explosive platforms on the floor. After defeating him you’ll get the weapon: Termite breach, that lets you place the termite trap on the floor, destroying enemies that get on it, or use it to break down reinforced walls to reach shortcuts or secret areas, Nitro Blast’s bullets can do the same, but they are also much slower to shoot and he needs to reload his weapon.
