Why don't they laugh?Why don't they smile?
Why do they scorn
And my humor defile?
Why don't they nod
Why don't they see
When I try to show them
The deep parts of me?
Do they not understand
What I need them to know:
I mean them no harm,
Though my intentions my actions forgo?
Why do they smile
And then walk away?
It seems I can say nothing
To may anyone stay.
