Some time ago I uploaded a sketch of (a personification of) Minor Leo here - In the meanwhile I drew more and shared them on Tumblr, forgot to upload them here lol

In case you don't know Zodiac Princes is a character design project of mine where I make personifications of constellations. Their personalities and designs are based on their myth and history. So not on the horoscope, in case of the twelve Zodiac signs. Who, as the title would suggest, are royalty in space. Other constellations aren't royalty, but they do have big roles in space as well. Think of dukes or priests, space police or whatever.

Now on to the constellations featured in this picture

Orion From all the constellations, Orion was requested the most to draw. Probably because he's one of the better known ones. I already drew him months ago, in Scorpios personality sheet. I finally made him a half body design : )
In Orions myth he was defeated by a scorpion (aka Scorpio), they were both put in the sky but Orion still avoids him. So the two constellations are never seen in the same sky. Of course this is translated to Orion just avoiding Scorpio anywhere, because Scorpio is annoying

Centaurus Not a very well known constellation, but a very interesting one nonetheless. You see, Saggitarius is not the only centaur in the sky! Their myths are often mistaken for one another, so I translated that in people mistaken the two gentlemen for one another. In Centaurus myth, he is the adoptive father and mentor of Ophiuchus - I translated this to Ophiuchus and Centaurus being child hood friends, so he's not her dad haha

Pegasus and Equuleus Pegasus doesn't have much myth behind him, but he is directly placed next to Equuleus in the sky. Equules is the foal constellation and the daughter of Centaurus. She was transformed in a foal and was hiding from her father because she got pregnant. She's depicted as hiding behind Pegasus in the sky (so only the half of the foal is shown). But in Zodiac Prince lore, instead of Centaurus being her dad, he's an overprotective older brother. They're horse siblings : ) Also Equu isn't pregnant don't worry

Monocerus She is one of the 16 constellations two Dutch Explorers added, who do not have any myths behind them. They just saw some stars and were like “lol that kinda looks like a unicorn donnit?”. So I can’t really do much with her other then take things from the animal unicorn and the science part. Monocerus stars are really dim so she’s hard to see with the naked eye. So I translated that to her not often coming outside haha. I guess it also kinda fits with the unicorn? They’re not often spotted either. Since they’re fake but still, I mean in their lore haha! Monocerus was described in old documents as “the second horse”, I’m assuming the first horse is Pegasus. I also mentioned before that I made a (digital) childrensbook with constellations, where Pegasus and Monocerus were depicted as lovers. So because of those reasons I definitly want them to have some kind of relationship!!

Pavo is the peacock constellation, based on the myth of Hera hiring a spy (of some sort) and to honor him put his eyes on the feathers of the peacock. So I thought Pavo would have the latest gossip

Cygnus the swan constellation, based on the time Zeus transformed as a swan and got a chick pregnant. The baby that came out of this was one of the gemini twins. I just wanted her to tell simple harmless lies to make her more like-able! She's one of my personal favs for sure haha - I also made a small comic featuring her and Gemini, I will upload that one here eventually too~

I may give them colored version somewhere soon!

disclaimer the Zodiac Princes are *not* a personification of the horoscope. I can't stretch this enough because if you yourself choose to identify with some random character on the internet that has no intention of representing you in anyway and then get upset he is called "annoying" or as any other flaws - that's your own fault. Just because you were born in a certain month doesn't mean I'm drawing you lol
